Windows Viste 64-bits

Post by rmikio » Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:12 pm

Greetings Lubin et. al,

I am testing MATLAB2008b and dsPIC blockset in two different machines:

machine A: desktop using Windows XP
machine B: notebook using Windows Vista 64-bits

I installed both in the same way. However, when I open the example models in Windows Vista, there are bad links and the blocks don' t appear.

Any suggestions here? Maybe it is the Windows Vista thing. By the way, Vista is 64-bits.

Thank you and regards,
Mikio

UPDATE 1: Fact: it seems that the entire blockset disappeared. I tried to install it again and again and again. Installation goes smoothly, but the blockset never appears. I have tried the following actions:

a. Install blockset, check Simulink libraries
b. Install blockset, restart Matlab, check Simulink libraries
c. Install blockset, restart Windows, check Simulink libraries
d. restart Windows, Install blockset, check Simulink libraries
e. restart Windows, Install blockset, restart Matlab, check Simulink libraries

No successful results until now.

UPDATE 2: The first installation however was successful and it was possible to check the blockset and also to compile (with some errors in the linker though). After that, nothing worked anymore

Hi Mikio,

Blockset is not yet adapted for 64bits matlab.
However, it is working on a a 64-bits OS equipped with a 32 bits version of matlab !

I'll try to adapt the blockst for the matlab 64 bits soon.

Hi Lubin,

Thank you for your prompt answer.

Thank you again and good luck. I forgot to say that Matlab was 64-bit also.

Regards,
Mikio
