Difference btw MATLAB Device Blocks for MPLAB IDE

Hello Lubin and all,

I have been doing quite a bit of research regarding Simulink plugin for MCU and came to a conclusion that using Microchip PIC is one of the better solutions out in the market. I also found out that there is also an official MATLAB device blocks released by Microchip. That being said, what is the pros and cons, or difference between using dsPIC Blockset produced by Lubin and MATLAB device blocks produced by Microchip? So far, I can't find much difference by just reading documents as I have not used either one. Maybe some of you can tell me about your experience!

I don't mean to hinder Lubin in anyway. If anyone finds this post disturbing, I will delete it right away.

Best Regards,

Richard

Just to give you one reason which comes to my mind. The microchip blocksets only incorporate DSPIC30 and 33 where Lubbin's, on top of the above two, it incorporates PIC32 as well. This is a big difference for me.
On top of that, Lubbin developed his blocksets if I remember well before microchip.
So if I agree with your comments, it is microchip fault not Lubbin's.
